All data used by Hindu Timings is stored locally on your device:

  • Timing Data: Pre-loaded Hindu timing calculations (Kala, Hora, Lunar events) for 2024-2027
  • User Preferences: Your language choice (English/Kannada), notification settings, and display preferences
  • App Settings: Time format, notification timing preferences, and accessibility settings

No Cloud Storage

We do not store any data on external servers, cloud services, or third-party platforms. All information remains on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

🔔 Notifications

Hindu Timings uses iOS local notifications to alert you about important timing events:

  • Local Notifications Only: All notifications are generated locally on your device
  • No Push Notifications: We do not use remote push notifications that require server communication
  • User Control: You can enable/disable notifications for specific events in the app settings
  • No Tracking: Notifications do not track whether you opened them or took any action

📱 iOS Integration

Widgets

Our iOS widgets display timing information on your home screen using Apple's WidgetKit framework. Widget data is shared only between the main app and widget extension using iOS App Groups, remaining entirely on your device.

Apple Watch

The companion Apple Watch app syncs timing data from your iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. All data transfer occurs locally between your paired devices without any external communication.

Permissions

Hindu Timings only requests the following iOS permissions:

  • Notifications: To alert you about timing events (optional)
  • App Group Access: To share data between the main app and widgets

🌐 Network Activity

Completely Offline

Hindu Timings works entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for any functionality.

Our app does not make any network requests, including:

  • No data synchronization with external servers
  • No analytics or crash reporting services
  • No advertising networks or third-party SDKs
  • No social media integration or sharing features
  • No automatic updates or remote configuration

👥 Third-Party Services

Hindu Timings does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. We do not share any data with external parties because we do not collect any data to share.

Apple Services

The app uses standard Apple frameworks and services:

  • App Store: For app distribution and updates (handled by Apple)
  • iOS Frameworks: Core Data, WidgetKit, WatchConnectivity, UserNotifications
  • iCloud Sync: App settings may sync across your devices via iCloud (optional, controlled by iOS settings)
